Day 1 ~ Morning

The death of the mouse perhaps saved Harry's life. Very often, our good fortune comes from someone else's loss.

When a person chooses to give up something of value for something of greater value, it's called a sacrifice. Some dwell on what is being lost, while others focus on what is being gained.

Examples of sacrifice include a mother giving birth, farmland being prepared for the next generation, a soldier fighting and dying for freedom, and ancestors keeping a journal.

What sacrifices have been made for you?

What can you do to show your appreciation?

Commitment: I will express my appreciation to someone who has made a sacrifice for me.
